Shirley Dodd
Eight
years ago, Shirley was one of the founding members who helped to set
up Wessex Sculptors. She works from her studio in Winchester and
has studied with a number of well-recognised sculptors, including
Sally Hersh, Sukey Erland and John Souter. She has worked
successfully in clay but is currently carving in stone where the
tactile qualities of soapstone have a particular appeal for her.
Shirley
has observed indigenous sculpture in Asia and Latin America as well
as those from the antique and more contemporary European traditions.
Her work reflects these wide sources of inspiration.
Shirley
has exhibited and sold in Hampshire and Sussex. |
